BREAKING NEWS: Lonel Messi Has Been Ruled Out Of The Remaining Games Due To Recurring Injury.

Argentina's star striker Lionel Messi has been ruled out of the 2022 World Cup tournament due to injury. The four-time Ballon d'Or winner had already been forced out of the last two World Cups after suffering ligament damage, and he is expected to miss all matches in Qatar. Photos surfaced on social media showing Messi with a marked absence of movement in his left knee, which had been strapped in ice down during training. Messi revealed back in June that he had undergone surgery on the injury. Injury updates - published by world football news website Goal - claim that doctors have advised Messi not to return until 2023 due to the risks associated with repeated Knee surgeries. Messi is expected to make a full recovery from his injury, but he will not play for Argentina at the World Cup. The news comes after the Barcelona star missed out on both the 2014 and 2018 editions of the tournament due to knee ligament damage. Messi is one of the greatest footballers of all time and he has enjoyed a glittering career. The 32-year-old has scored over 500 goals for club and country, won multiple trophies with Barcelona and been named UEFA Player of the Year on three occasions. He was also named FIFA World Player of the Year five times in his career.
